The Malatestian Library, founded in the 1400s and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, represents the oldest Renaissance collection in Europe with more than 300,000 volumes inside.
It is the pride of Cesena and of all Romagna, with the opening of its enormous wooden door, it leaves the visitor breathless. If you ever want to immerse yourself in its history this is the right place; in this place time stopped five hundred years ago. The Library is the same, with its wooden plutei, the original manuscripts of the time and the Renaissance atmosphere that permeates between one nave and the other. And do not forget the collection of the Biblioteca Piana, of over five thousand volumes. Peculiarity: the smallest book in the world legible without lens.
